From the recording Window to the World (창문 너머 세상)
"Window to the World (창문 너머 세상)". Etsurakami sits within a quiet morning in Tokyo — a window slightly open, soft light resting on her face, a book held gently in her hands. The world remains outside, not distant, just not yet touched. Pages turn slowly, and unfamiliar cities begin to form within her imagination. Streets she has never walked, oceans she has never seen — all becoming real in the space between thought and feeling. It is not escape. It is a beginning — where curiosity awakens, and the first horizon takes shape inside her.
From her diary: I don’t know when it began. The light feels different today. Not brighter — just closer. When I read, it no longer feels like looking at something far away. It feels like something is quietly opening … here. I am still sitting by the same window. And yet, somehow, it is no longer the same place.
„Window to the World (창문 너머 세상)“.
Lyrics
Sitting by the window,
flipping through pages,
Tokyo noise fades
behind the curtains.
In the quiet of home,
my heart’s already gone.
Cat paws
on the windowsill,
sunlight unfolds
like a map.
And the worlds in books
feel more real
than the streets outside.
Window to the world —
my heart runs
ahead of me.
Colors of cities
I’ve never seen,
scents I can’t yet name.
I’ll go …
someday I’ll go,
and come back
with eyes wide open.
The view keeps changing,
but my dream
stays the same.
From this little room,
I begin
my own journey
around the world.
I’ll go …
not to escape,
but to come back
with stories
in my eyes …
